Vale Ray Venteman

Belrose Bulls
Steve Maas, Wednesday, 20 May 2020

It is with great sadness that we advise that Ray Venteman passed away early this morning. Our thoughts are with John, Cathy and all the family.

Ray first joined Belrose in 1965 and was a continuous playing member for 48 years. A true gentleman, he was a long serving patron of the Club. He was also a member of multiple Grade 1, 2 and 3 winning Pennants Sides over the years (Grade 1 State winners in 1988 and State runners-up in 1985 and 1991, Grade 2 winners in 1996, 97 and 98 and Grade 3 winners in 1993, 2008 and 2011 are a few highlights).

His son John is keeping up the Venteman tradition with top bowls in Grades 1 and 2 as well as being a current Board member at Club Belrose.

Follow the link at the bottom of this news story for a summary of Ray's bowling history as presented by Mike Gibb in his "Club Belrose 60 years" book (which can be found under "About Us" on this website).

Farewell to a true Belrose Bull.
